Mike Lothridge
Mr. Mike Lothridge assumed the position of Head of School at Robert Toombs Christian Academy in August 2023. As Head of School, Mr. Lothridge oversees the college preparatory schools employees and students in grades K3 through 12.
As a veteran educator, Mr. Lothridge has served in many leadership positions. These leadership roles have allowed him to cultivate the skills that are necessary to successfully serve as a Georgia Independent School educational leader. His experience and commitment to educational leadership, and his strong Christian and family values will be an asset for Robert Toombs Christian Academy.
Prior to being named as the Head of School, Mr. Lothridge has served as the school’s Director and Lead Instructor of Driver’s Education. While at Robert Toombs, he has also served as a Football and Golf Coach, and as a Bible, ELA, and History Instructor. Mr. Lothridge shared that his professional decision to join the Robert Toombs Christian Academy faculty was a highlight of his career as it allowed him to serve others in various supportive leadership roles within a family- oriented and Christian setting. Mr. Lothridge is excited to serve as the Robert Toombs Christian Academy Head of School and looks forward to the continuation of the school’s outstanding heritage.
Mr. Lothridge attained his Educational Specialist and Master’s Degrees in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University. He and his wife Connie reside in Toombs County.

Assistant Head of School
Director of Human Resources and Accounting
Lindsey Moore
Lindsey Moore serves as the Director of Human Resources and Accounting. In this position, Mrs. Moore handles all business operations, payroll and personnel files. Before working at RTCA, she was employed by Darby Bank and Trust for nine years. During her time at Darby Bank, Mrs. Moore worked in operations, focusing on electronic banking services.
Mrs. Moore graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2004 with her BBA with an emphasis in Finance. She is married to Adam Moore, an alumnus of RTCA. They have two children, Savannah and Anderson, who attend RTCA. Mrs. Moore and her family attend The Oaks Baptist Church in Lyons, GA.
Mrs. Moore enjoys being a part of RTCA due to the family atmosphere. She believes that RTCA has a rich history in Lyons that will continue to grow.

Director of Academic Affairs
Christy Smesny
Mrs. Christy Smesny serves as the Director of Academic Affairs. Mrs. Smesny oversees curriculum, academics, guidance, scheduling, accommodations for varying learning differences, as well as community service.
Mrs. Smesny graduated from Georgia Southern University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. Mrs. Smesny also graduated from Valdosta State University where she has earned an Educational Specialist Degree in School Counseling and a second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Smesny has worked as a certified school counselor for 9 years.
Mrs. Smesny is married to Stephen Smesny and they have a son, Grayson Smesny who attends RTCA.

Director of Admissions and Public Relations
Nicole Dykes
Nicole Dykes serves as the Director of Admissions and Public Relations. In this role, Mrs. Dykes oversees: publications and printing of ads, manages the school website and social media networks, and assists with admission for prospective families.
Prior to working at Robert Toombs Christian Academy, Mrs. Dykes worked for two Atlanta radio stations within Cumulus Broadcasting, KICKS 101.5 and News Radio 106.7. While there, she was the Assistant Marketing & Promotional Director coordinating on-air giveaways, the promotional street team, working with celebrity guests and concerts. Prior to Cumulus, Mrs. Dykes worked for the Atlanta Braves on the Tomahawk team during the 2015 season. As a member of Game Day Entertainment, the team spent every home game promoting crowd participation, performing in the pregame plaza, during the 7th inning stretch and many in-game activities. The Tomahawk team also accompanied players on Caravans across the Southeast, visiting hospitals, schools, and sports stores.
Mrs. Dykes graduated from RTCA in 2008. After graduation, she attended Kennesaw State University where she earned a BS in Communication and Public Relations. Mrs. Dykes and her husband, Chris, have two children, Everly and Turner, and attend Connection Church of Vidalia.

Dean of Students and Director of Facilities

Mr. Adam Callaway serves as Director of Facilities and Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. In this role, Coach Callaway oversees the school grounds, facilities, day to day operations, and the Varsity Boys Basketball team.
He has been the Varsity Boys Basketball coach at RTCA for the past 6 years. Coach Callaway and his team won the Region Championship in 2020 and has made it to the State Playoffs the past four years. He has also helped coach Varsity Golf and Middle School Football the past five years. Previously, he coached basketball and golf at Bulloch Academy before coming to RTCA.
Coach Callaway graduated from Ashford University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. He is married to Caroline Callaway and they attend Twin City First Baptist Church.
Coach Callaway loves the family atmosphere at RTCA and looks forward to seeing what the future holds for the Crusaders.

Director of Development
Amber Meeks
Mrs. Amber Meeks serves as Director of Development. In this position, she oversees all aspects of fundraising and development.
Mrs. Meeks graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management and a minor in Business. After college, she moved back home to Savannah, GA where she worked with the YMCA of Coastal Georgia and Calvary Day School. Mrs. Meeks relocated from Statesboro, Georgia where she served as operations manager at Hull Property Group for 7 years.
Mrs. Meeks and her husband, Matthew, have two sons, Hayden and Heath, who also attend RTCA.
