Robert Toombs Christian Academy’s Student Government Association sponsored a Dress Down Day to help “Feed the Children.” The goal was to raise money toward a project to feed homeless and needy children of Accra, Ghana for Christmas. For a donation of $5 elementary students were allowed to wear pajamas and Middle and High School students were allowed to wear sweat pants and hats. RTCA raised $1,170 for the “Feed the Children” project. Ashley Murphy, missionary to Ghana, is sponsoring the fund-raising efforts which hope to raise $2,000. Ms. Murphy is sponsored by Marietta FWB Church where her father Ken Murphy is pastor and she formerly served as Youth Minister at Lyons United Methodist Church. She is a long time resident of Toombs County.
