RTCA’S Lower School Student of the Month for September is kindergartener Sydney Black. Sydney is the daughter of Benji and Tiffany Black. She has an older brother, Brantley, who is in 7th grade at RTCA. Sydney was selected by faculty because her work ethic in the classroom is excellent. She strives to complete all assignments to perfection and her kind spirit makes her a friend to all. Sydney’s favorite subject is social studies and her favorite color is blue. She enjoys playing with her dogs, Truby and Bella, and playing soccer during her free time. When Sydney grows up she wants to be a veterinarian.

RTCA’s Middle School Student of the Month for September is sixth grader Blake Owens. Blake is the son of Brent and Jessica Owens. He has a younger sister, Brooke, who is in the 4th grade at RTCA. He also has an older brother, Joseph. Blake was chosen by faculty for student of the month because he is very well mannered, always engaged in the classroom, and always asking questions. Being a new student, he has done an excellent job at being involved in different clubs and athletic events. Blake’s favorite subject is Social Studies and participates in basketball, baseball, and soccer at RTCA. During his free time, Blake enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing video games, and riding his golf cart. When Blake graduates, he would like to be a biologist.

RTCA’s High School Student of the Month for September is Addie Thompson. Addie is the daughter of Rhett and Susan Thompson. She has two younger sisters, Caroline who is a junior and Annie who is in the third grade at RTCA. Addie was selected by faculty because she is always willing to lend a helping hand around campus. She is a very creative student and very involved in several clubs and athletic teams on campus. Addie is a great leader amongst her class and a great example of a hardworking student. Addie is a member of the spirit and competition cheerleading squads, the track, tennis, and soccer teams. She placed first in the writing division for the local National History Day competition and is a member of Beta Club, National Honors Society, and Leo Club. After graduation, Addie plans on attending Georgia Southern University to pursue a degree in interior architecture and design.
