Robert Toombs Christian Academy high school students in Chemistry I Honors and AP Chemistry classes celebrated Mole Day last Friday. Every year on October 23rd, Mole Day is celebrated from 6:02am to 6:02pm. This is a day that scientists celebrate Amedeo Avogadro’s number: 6.022×10^23. A mole is a counting unit for chemists where one mole has 6.022×10^23 particles. Mr. Scott Tuck, High School Science teacher, allowed students to bring periodic table and Mole themed goodies to class on Friday. Students were able to choose from a list of projects, which ranged from making a mole, a scrapbook, or food items.
