RTCA’s lower school Student of the Month for October is kindergartener Carter Tomberlin. Carter is the son of Zach and Jessica Tomberlin. He has a brother, Mason who is in the 3rd grade at RTCA, and a sister named Avery. Carter was selected by faculty because he is a great friend to everyone in his class and always tries his very best to complete his work. He is quick to assist anyone in the class, including his teacher. Carter always strives to do his best. He is a great helper and encourager. Carter is a great Christian example to his classmates. He always brings his Bible on Wednesdays and encourages others to do the same so that they can learn more about God. Carter’s favorite subject is math and his favorite color is black. He enjoys playing basketball, soccer, and playing in his playroom. Carter loves God and his favorite animal is a tiger. When he grows up, he wants to be a pharmacist just like his mom and dad.

RTCA’s Middle School Student of the Month for October is 8th grader Mandy Johnson. Mandy is the daughter of Debbie Johnson. She has one older sister and four younger siblings. Mandy was chosen as Student of the Month because she is involved in mastering the concepts covered in class all while playing in band at football games. Mandy has had to push herself to get to the grade she currently holds and has done an excellent job adjusting to a new learning-type atmosphere. Mandy’s favorite subjects at RTCA are math and science. She participates in band, archery, and track at RTCA. Many has been dancing with Vidalia Ballet for 10 years. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. When Mandy graduates, she would like to become a pediatrician.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy’s October Student of the Month is sophomore Ansley Akins. Ansley is the daughter of Ben and Wendy Akins. She has an older brother, Austin, who graduated from RTCA in 2021 and currently attends Georgia Southern University. Ansley was selected by faculty because she is a very sweet young lady and always willing to lend a helpful hand. She is a great student and always stays on tasks. She is somewhat quiet but engages in conversations well. Ansley’s favorite subject is Spanish with Ms. Glenn. She enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and running track. Ansley is also a member of RTCA’s Leo Club. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach and lake with her friends and family.
