Robert Toombs Christian Academy held its annual Middle School Honor’s Day, Thursday, May 9, in the RTCA gym.  Sixth graders Seth Carelock, Ella Newton, and TJ Stanley received perfect attendance for the school year. Students who participated in the Spelling Bee, Junior Beta Club, and Chess Team were awarded with certificates of their achievements.

Students who made the Headmaster’s List include sixth graders Kylie Acosta, Justin bowers, Seth Carelock, Meredith Durden, Madalyn Joyner, Macy Kennedy, Lily Grace Maybin, Ella Newton, TJ Stanley, Katie Thompson, seventh graders Sawyer Adams, Caley Anna Braddock, Emmie Davis, Alli Hart, Hayden Kight, Cole Masterman-Smith, Caroline Thompson, eighth graders Nicole Acosta, Kate Kennedy, Emma NeeSmith, Andrew Tuck, and Mary-Claire Wolfe.

This year’s Honor Roll students were: sixth graders Gage Brantley, Bishop Lampp, Jacob Sanford, Julian Soto, Noah Varn, James Varnes, seventh graders Madison Cravey, Ariel Reynolds, Kayleigh Sanders, eighth graders Abbie Bishop, Britton Botelho, and Emma Tapley.

Middle School teachers awarded students with awards in Math, Spanish, Science, English, and Social Studies. Math awards were given to sixth grader Ella Newton, seventh grader Caroline Thompson, and eighth graders Amily Mixon and Emma NeeSmith. Spanish awards were accepted by eighth graders Andrew Tuck and Emma NeeSmith. Science awards were accepted by sixth grader Kylie Acosta, seventh grader Caley Anna Braddock, and eighth grader Emma NeeSmith. English awards were given to sixth grader Ella Newton, seventh grader Caroline Thompson, and eighth grader Emma NeeSmith. Social Studies awards were accepted by sixth grader TJ Stanley, seventh grader Caley Anna Braddock, and eighth grader Emma NeeSmith. Sixth grader Meredith Durden, seventh grader Madison Cravey, and eighth grader Kate Kennedy were awarded the Great Christian Leadership awards.

Overall Academic Average Awards were awarded to Middle School students who received the highest and second highest overall averages. Sixth grader Ella Newton received highest overall and Kylie Acosta received second highest overall average. Caley Anna Braddock received highest overall and Caroline Thompson received second highest overall average for the seventh grade. Highest overall average for eighth grade was Emma NeeSmith and second highest overall average was Andrew Tuck.

Middle School Teacher of the Year was awarded to Mrs. Stephanie Williamson. Mrs. Williamson has taught in the public school system for 11 years and one year at RTCA. “I am honored to be recognized as teacher of the year at RTCA. Teaching has always been my passion and I simply try to instruct the way I would want to learn.  I have enjoyed every second of my time here at Robert Toombs and look forward to many more years to come,” states Stephanie Williamson, 6th and 7th grade English Literature teacher.
