RTCA’s Lower School Student of the Month for January is kindergartener Brynn Baker. Brynn is the daughter of Addy and Daniel Banker. She has two sisters, Tilly and Maryn Baker. Brynn was chosen by faculty because she is a great student who goes above and beyond in her studies. She also works very hard and is always willing to help others. Brynn’s favorite color is purple and her favorite subject in school is math. She loves to cheer, color, and play hide and seek. When Brynn grows up, she wants to be a doctor.

RTCA’s Middle School Student of the Month for January is 8th grader Jadyn Morris. Jadyn is the daughter of Jeannie Morris. She has a sister, Jessie, who attends the University of Georgia. Jadyn was chosen by faculty because she is always respectful and studios. She works hard in the classroom and is always willing to help out when needed. Jadyn’s favorite color is blue and her favorite subject is GA History. Jadyn has attended RTCA since 5th grade and is part of the flag line. Her favorite memory at RTCA is meeting new people and making new friends.

RTCA’s High School Student of the Month for January is Senior Justin Johnson. Justin is the son of David and Mandy Johnson. Justin was selected by faculty because he’s taken the reins of SGA and being responsible and exhibiting great leadership skills. He is also in charge of the Blue Zoo and encourages mask wearing amongst younger students. He has really buckled down on his academics this year as well. Justin has participated in soccer and tennis for two years and track for one year. He plans on participating in tennis and track this year. While playing tennis his freshman year, Justin was the Region Champ in boys’ doubles, was named all-region, received the award for the best doubles team, and was a state qualifier in boys’ doubles.  During his sophomore year, he was named All-Region and he was a State qualifier in boys’ singles.  Justin attended the YMCA Youth Assembly his freshman and sophomore years.  He was chosen as the Student Government representative for his class during his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. Justin was chosen as SGA President his senior year.  He has been a member of the “Blue Zoo” crew for three years and was a leader his junior and senior years.  Justin was recently nominated for the following Senior Superlatives: Best Personality, Most Likely to be President, Most School Spirited, and Celebrity Look Alike. He became a certified shielded metal arc welder through dual enrollment at Southeastern Technical College his junior year.  He is currently a volunteer firefighter with the Vidalia City Fire Department.  After graduation, Justin plans on attending Coastal Georgia and pursue a degree in economics and marketing.
