RTCA’s Lower School Student of the Month for January is kindergartener Ella Hernandez. Ella is the daughter of Olivia Griffis and Anthony Hernandez. She is a big sister to a brand new baby girl, Alora Carianne, who was born in February. Ella was chosen by faculty because she is an enthusiastic student who enjoys learning new things and is never afraid to tackle hard learning skills. She is a great example to all of her classmates on how to be Christ-like in all situations. Ella’s favorite subject is reading and her favorite color is red. She enjoys playing soccer and t-ball. She Ella loves to play Candyland and her favorite food is watermelon. When Ella grows up, she wants to be a teacher.

RTCA’s Middle School Student of the Month for January is sixth grader Blaine Jordan. Blaine is the son of Michael Jordan and Tara Wilkes. He has a large extended family with two half-sisters, two step sisters, and two step brothers. Blaine was selected by faculty because he is always helpful in the classroom, is kind to his peers and is always respectful and courteous to others. Blaine enjoys riding dirt bikes and skateboarding, working with tools and especially rebuilding things that everyone else thought was gone for good. His favorite subjects are history and science. Blaine is a member of the Chess Club at RTCA. A fun fact about Blaine is that his artwork was chosen to be featured in the Capitol Art Exhibit in Atlanta in 2021.

RTCA’s High School Student of the Month for January is senior Sebastian Holmes. Sebastian is the son of Gina Holmes and Nick Holmes. He has participated in football, soccer, golf, and track while at RTCA. Sebastian was selected by faculty because he is a great student in the classroom. He loves to think deeply about the content during open discussion and always goes into great depth to get his point across. He’s a great leader throughout the school and helps spread school spirit. Sebastian was a member of One Act Play his sophomore year and was part of the Region Championship team. He is a member of Leo Club, Chess Club, FCA, and SGA. After graduation, Sebastian plans on attending Georgia Southern University and is currently undecided on his degree choice. However, he hopes to get into NASA’s space program and become an astronaut.
