RTCA’s lower school Student of the Month for December is Kindergartener Hattie Claire Sconyers. Hattie Claire is the daughter of Chet and Joanna Sconyers. She has one dog named Oscar. Hattie Claire was selected by faculty because she strives to always do her best in her work. She is a great example to others and a true asset to her class. She is a great role model as well as friend to her classmates. Hattie Claire’s favorite subject is P.E. and her favorite color is purple. When she’s not in school, Hattie Claire enjoys dancing with Sassy Sisters and spending time with her family and friends. When she grows up, she wants to be a cheerleader.

RTCA’s Middle School Student of the Month for December is 8th grader Mekhia Bell. Mekhia is the daughter of Dr. E. Muriel Bell and Stephanie Nails. She has attended RTCA since Kindergarten. Mekhia was chosen as Student of the Month because she is very engaged in the classroom. She is meticulous in her classwork and is a very active participant in Junior Beta and various middle school sports. Mekhia does all of this while maintaining a high average in her classes. She also reflects a great learning attitude which pushes her classmates to also excel. Mekhia participates in many school activities including softball, soccer, track, band, Beta Club, and the Spelling Bee. In her free time, Mekhia enjoys playing basketball, working on art projects, and listening to music. Her favorite subjects are science and history. You will often find Mekhia with a smile on her face and enjoying conversation with those around her.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy’s December Student of the Month is junior Dawson Pinckard. Dawson is the son of Deidre and Byron Barnett, and Casey and Cierra Pinckard. He has a younger sibling, Hadden Barnett, who is in Kindergarten at RTCA. Dawson was chosen by faculty because he constantly rises above his peers and shows an RTCA attitude in both behavior and academics. He works hard to get the grade but to excel in understanding the topics. He is a polite, well-spoken, and well-liked classmate who assists those who might be struggling. Dawson is a member of the Varsity Baseball team. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing travel baseball, and cheering on the Crusaders in various sports. Dawson has a 4.0 GPA and strives for academic excellence in the classroom.
