RTCA’s lower school Student of the Month for December is second-grader Kylar Riner. Kylar is the daughter of Cliff and Sandy Riner. She has one sister named Cooper, two dogs named Sambo and Max, and two cats named Lucy and Midnight. Kylar was chosen by faculty because she is a role model for other students. She is very caring towards her classmates, always eager to learn, and follows directions. Kylar is a great leader in the classroom. Kylar’s favorite subject is math and her favorite color is turquoise. She enjoys dancing, twirling baton, reading, and collecting gemstones. Kylar has been showing goats since she was four years old and has won showmanship and many first place ribbons.  When Kylar grows up, she would like to become an archaeologist.

RTCA’s middle school Student of the Month for December is 6th grader Elly Haygood. Elly is the daughter of Aries and Megan Haygood. She has a sister, Elin, who attends 3rd grade at RTCA. Elly was selected by faculty at RTCA because she is willing to lend a helping hand to her classmates when in need of guidance and students. Elly demonstrates selflessness and works extremely hard in every subject. Not only does she give her all in sports, but portrays her love for Christ daily. Elly’s favorite color is green and her favorite subject is science. She is also a member of the Middle School basketball and softball teams.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy’s December High School Student of the Month is Senior Maison Garbutt. Maison is the daughter of Misty and Jason Wiggins and George and Renee Garbutt. Maison was selected by faculty because she is a conscientious student who keeps up with her work and strives to excel.  She also is involved in the Medical Staff Youth Advisory Board and never complains about the workload. Maison has attended RTCA since 6th grade and was a member of the Region Championship basketball team in 2018.  Maison has also been a member of the 2016, 2017, and 2018 Region Softball Championship teams where they reached the Final Four in 2017 and 2018. She was selected to be on the Medical Staff Youth Advisory Board her senior year. Maison was a Homecoming Representative her junior and seniors years and was name Homecoming Princess her senior year. During her free time, she models for Michelle’s Formal Wear and is a sales associate at City Drugs. After graduation, Maison plans on attending Georgia Southern University to peruse a degree in the medical field.
