RTCA’s Lower School Student of the Month for April is Alejandro Paez. Alejandro is the song of Ariel and Stephanie Paez. He has three siblings, Violeta, Romeo, and Sofia, who all attend RTCA. Alejandro has one dog named Winston, and five cats named Sylvester, Disco, Azure, Simba, Solecita. Alejandro was chosen by faculty because you can always find him following the rules as well as following any directions he has been given by his teachers. It’s never an issue of who can be put in a small group to work with Alejandro because he is able to get along with and work with any and all of his peers. He is thoughtful, kind, and generous to those around him. Alejandro is a hard worker in class and strives to be a good learner and a hard worker. He is dependable and responsible, and a model student. Alejandro’s favorite subject is reading and his favorite color is orange. He enjoys playing soccer and traveling back to Minnesota where his extended family lives to play in the snow. When Alejandro grows up, he wants to be an electrician.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy’s Student of the Month for the Month of April is eighth grader Josie Kight. Josie is the daughter of Johnny and Missy Kight. She has two older siblings, Jessica and John. Josie was selected by faculty because she is always on task. She is managing to maintain schoolwork and social life so gracefully at a young age. Josie’s favorite subject is science and she is a member of FCA and the Junior Beta Club. She is also a member of the middle school and varsity soccer teams. In her free time, Josie enjoys playing guitar, practicing soccer, and talking to her friends.

RTCA’s High School Student of the Month for April is senior Carston Tapley. Carston is the son of Vickey and Tripp Wammock and Duston Tapley III. He has an older brother, Denton, who’s an alumni of RTCA. Carston was chosen by faculty because of his great presence in the classroom. He interacts with all students, not just those he’s friends with or those that are in his class. He always has a kind word for every teacher that he sees in the halls. Carston will be missed by many once he graduates. Carston has participated in shotgun for five years at RTCA. Carston has been one of the top two shooters throughout his high school career. He has placed in the Top 10 Overall Shooter his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. Carston is the President of the Student Government Association and is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Leo Club. Carston was chosen as ‘Most Likely to Succeed’ as his Senior Superlative by his classmates. In Kindergarten, Carston was named RTCA’s Fall Festival King. He received Yearly Honor Roll and Headmaster’s List in elementary. Carston is currently attending Savannah Aviation to become a pilot. After graduation, Carston plans on attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and pursuing a degree in aeronautical science.
