Assistant Headmaster of Operations

Hayne Brant

Mr. Hayne Brant assumed the position at Robert Toombs Christian Academy as Assistant Headmaster in 2107. Mr. Brant oversees student activities, athletics, budgeting, recruitment, Public Relations/Development, safety and security.

Hayne Brant is a native of Rincon, Georgia and a 1997 graduate of South Effingham High School. He attended Young Harris College, where he played baseball from 1997 through 1999. After a transfer to West Georgia College, he graduated in 2001 with a degree in Sports Management. He returned to Young Harris College as an Assistant Baseball Coach. He moved to the Toombs County area in 2003 where he was employed by Brewton Parker for five years, three as Assistant Baseball Coach and two as Head Baseball Coach.

Mr. Brant came to Robert Toombs Christian Academy in 2008. During the years since he arrived he has served many roles. At different times, he has been an Assistant Football Coach, Head Softball Coach, Head Baseball Coach, Wrestling Coach, and Assistant Basketball Coach. As Head Baseball Coach, his teams have played in the State Championship in 2011, as well as winning four region championships and playing several final four and elite eight’s.

In 2012, he added administration duties as he was named Athletic Director and Assistant Headmaster. He stepped away from his coaching duties in 2015 to focus on Administration and was named Headmaster in spring of 2015. During the spring of 2017, he returned to his role as Assistant Headmaster and Athletic Director and will be our 2017-18 Head Softball and Baseball coach.

In addition to his roles at RTCA, he has been an instrumental force in the GISA Athletics field. He served as the President of the GISA Coaches Association from 2012 through 2016. He has also served on the Athletic Committee of the GISA as well as the Region 2AA Secretary since 2013. Locally, he was a member of the 2014 Toombs-Montgomery Leadership class. He is also a member of the Lyons Lions Club and Kiwanis Club (began serving on the board in 2017).

Mr. Brant has two children, Trey (‘21) and Campbell (‘24), and is an active member of the Connection Church in Vidalia.


Assistant Headmaster of Academic Affairs and Guidance

Tracey Adams

Mrs. Tracey Adams assumed the position of Assistant Headmaster for Academic Affairs and Guidance in 2017.  In this role, Mrs. Adams oversees curriculum, academics, guidance, college and career planning, dual enrollment, scheduling, accommodations for varying learning differences, the learning lab, as well as community service.  She is also the faculty advisor for the Chess Team and Lego Robotics program.

Mrs. Adams worked for 14 years at Southeastern Technical College, where her most recent position was the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.  She was also a member of the Student Affairs team and the Executive Council of the College, as well as the SACS accreditation team.  Mrs. Adams secured a literacy grant for Southeastern Tech and the program was instrumental in reaching under-served populations.  Prior to coming to RTCA, Mrs. Adams worked with the George Washington University High School, an online program, where she served as an Academic Planner.  Her main duties included course planning and curriculum pacing and helping students navigate the college admission process based on their strengths.

Mrs. Adams has been a speaker at multiple conferences where she has presented on advancing your school, learning differences, dyslexia, project based learning, and school and community partnerships. She won numerous state and national awards in regards to recruitment while working at Southeastern Technical College.  Mrs. Adams also brought the “Rethinking Dyslexia” program to the Toombs County area.  She has met with countless teachers and parents on reading struggles and advocating for children in the classroom.  Mrs. Adams has a particular interest in meeting the needs of students by identifying varying learning styles, early intervention, and differentiation in the classroom.

Mrs. Adams is a native of Vidalia, Georgia.  Tracey and her husband Craig, also of Vidalia, have four children who attend RTCA.  She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations and a minor in French, which included a concentration with Duke University.  Tracey also has a Masters in Administration from Georgia Southern University.  Tracey and her family attend Lyons First United Methodist Church.


Director of Institutional Effectiveness

Linda Johnson

Linda Johnson assumed the position of Robert Toombs Christian Academy Director of Institutional Effectiveness in 2017.  As Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Mrs. Johnson oversees data analysis, reporting, performance monitoring, projects and improvements of the school.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Metter High School in 1980.  She graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1984, and Georgia Southern University with a M.B.A. in 1990.  She received her teaching certification from GSU in 2003.

After working over 15 years in hospital finance, Mrs. Johnson became a stay at home mom. In 2002, Mrs. Johnson joined the staff of RTCA as the Business Education teacher. She became the Development and Marketing Director in 2015.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband Greg have two children, Jared (Class of 2010) and Cole. They attend The Oaks Baptist church and she is a member of the Rotary Club of Vidalia.


Director of Student Life

Henry Gardner

Henry Gardner assumed the position of Robert Toombs Christian Academy Director of Student Life in 2017. Mr. Gardner oversees 6th through 12th grade discipline, spiritual counseling, improvement of school culture and climate, teacher and student support specialist. Mr. Gardner joined the RTCA family in 2012 as the Bible History and Comparative World Religion Instructor.

Mr. Gardner is a native of Albany, Georgia and a 1977 graduate of Dougherty Comprehensive High School. He attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennesse graduating May 1, 1982 with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education for grades K-12. He received a M.S. in Education with a specialization in brain research (Brain Smart Learning and Teaching) from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida graduating August 31, 2009. G.A.C.E. highly qualified in Administration in 2010. He is presently pursuing his Ed. D. with a minor in Brain-Based Leadership.

Mr. Gardner is a 30 year retired public school teacher, coach and administrator. He taught various subjects and coached football, basketball, girls and boys track throughout his career.

Mr. Gardner and his wife Bonnie have two children, Henry IV and Herron (Class of 2013). He is a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Doerun, GA, where the Lord has lead, guided and protected him to stand firm on this foundation: The person of Faith does not let what he cannot do get in the way of what he can do. As the man of Faith moves along the rows of moments and days, he plucks every good chance to make his life an effective influence and does not wait for a perfect chance. He believes he is presently surrounded with opportunities to serve and spread joy.
