Robert Toombs Christian Academy held their annual Baccalaureate Service for the Class of 2018 on Sunday, May 13 in the R.T.C.A. gymnasium. Cassi Heath opened the service with a prayer and was followed by Alex Mathews introducing this year’s speaker Mrs. LaRee Findley, High School History teacher. Mrs. Findley spoke about the affect R.T.C.A. has had on their lives through academics, athletics, activities and acquaintances. “RTA – Remember the academics, Remember the Athletics, Remember the Activities, Remember the Acquaintances, Remember the Advice. But our school has four letters RTCA. We can’t leave out the C. So RTCA – Remember the Christian Atmosphere. You have been exposed to the gospel message and to many Christian examples, so as you go out into your new life, I pray that you have received a new life in Christ. I guess my most important piece of advice is to ‘Remember thy Creator in the days of thy youth’. Ecclesiastes 12:1.” After Mrs. Findley spoke, Senior Kameron Reeves sang “Remind Me, Dear Lord.” Coach Robertson presented this year’s Bibles to the Senior class, a favorite tradition for the Seniors. Anna McComas closed out the service with a prayer, followed by the recession of Seniors. The R.T.C.A. Class of 2018 will graduate on May 19th at 10 a.m. located at Southeastern Technical College.
