The RTCA weightlifting team competed in the GISA state weightlifting championships Friday at Bulloch Academy.  RTCA finished as State runner ups as a team and had three individual state champions.

Jody Graham was the State Champion in the heavyweight class and was also top lifter overall in all classes.  Jody benched 345lbs and power cleaned 350lbs. Latson Ennis was the State Champion in the 190-205lb weight class. Sam NeSmith was the State Champion in the 130-140lb weight class.

Coach Smith “I’m very proud of how hard our guys competed and encouraged each other. We had a good number of guys break their maxes during the competition. This was our first weight lifting competition and to come out as State runner ups competing with AA and AAA schools shows how hard our guys have been working.”
